Adam,

We have tried a couple of times over the last year or so, but it didn't go though. I'm would like a few boxes but you need to find out how many boxes we need to get the price to cost effective.

Then we might be able to attract enough people. I will keep watching this post.

Hi Alan & Jerry,
I think the price breaks come at 60 cases, 120 case, and maybe 180 or 240 cases,,

Ask your friends and neighbors,,

Were ready!

Hi Chicago!

We have consolidated enough orders now to ship directly from our factory in Indonesia to Chicago. This will give an overall savings from last year. By consolidating more orders we can further reduce the price.

Hey, Happy Halloween to all,

Richelle

Adam,

We are continuing to consolidate Kamado Charcoal orders for Chicago. At this time we have orders for 2 pallets or 120 boxes (60 boxes per pallet) and look forward to more orders to further decrease the shipping. These orders will allow us to ship directly from our factory in Indonesia to Chicago.

The price for 2 pallets or 2 Cubic Meters (“CBM”) is $13.99 a box including all charges delivered to Chicago warehouse. For 3 pallets (180 boxes) is $12.99, 4 pallets $11.99 and 6 pallets $10.99.

In computing ocean shipping charges the rate is per Cubic Meter (CBM). There are 60 boxes per one CBM. The total weight of 60 boxes of Extruded Coconut is 990 pounds. Each box is 13” x 9” by 7.5” high.

The picture below shows 120 boxes on a 2 CBM pallet or 2 pallets high. The 120 boxes/2CBM are on a “standard 48” x 40 pallet”. As you can see there are 8 boxes high or 60 inches (8 boxes high x 7.5”) or 5 feet high on a 4 foot wide pallet. There are 15 boxes per tier (15 x 8 = 120 boxes). In the picture, we loaded one CBM (or pallet) on top of another to reduce further reduce the container cost by the height of one wooden pallet.

The length and width of each box is 13” x 9” which gives a small foot print. For example, if I do the math properly, 4 boxes on the first tier or row would be 1 ˝ ft x 3 ft. “foot print” and if there are 8 tiers high (5 ft) there would be 32 boxes and your year’s supply of charcoal.

Ds12112, email me your address I'll mail you a box or two. I'm only about 150 miles away; shouldn't take long to get there.

Jerry, I would suggest that you order on your own. The next container is arriving in port on the 24th of January. This is all KEC. Please email me, tony@kamado.com to make sure you get your order. Thanks, Tony

Anyone interested in sharing extruded coconut, etc in the Chicago area?

Jeff

P.S. Does anyone have a phone # where I can call Kamado? I don't seem to be able to ever reach anyone when I call the # on the website. Is there a new #? Thanks
